In 2013 we came to a fork in the road; a decision to be made about our future. A third generation American carpenter, Dale found the work-a-day career path he'd started along five years earlier to be both unsatisfying and so demanding he could scarcely find time to pick up a hammer. During a staycation in 2011, Dale and Karen had begun building a getaway cabin in a sheltered glade at the edge of a forest. Friends and relatives stopped by during the construction process to admire the work. Some suggested Dale ought to share his skills with other folks who wanted such a getaway place. Two years later, the idea for Fork In The Road Cabins was born, and after much thought and prayer, a leap of faith was taken in 2014.
